Sources allow you to connect your Amazon and Walmart data to your DataHawk workspace and are fundamental to enabling most DataHawk features. In fact, it is the first step of every DataHawk use case.

Basic Set up

Choose a data source amongst the ones available on the app. To read more about all the different sources, click here.

The overview page shows you the number of products and keywords tracked, along with Advertising and Seller Central accounts associated with this DataHawk account.

Click on the "Add" button next to the marketplace of your choice. You will be directed to a page to enter further information about the product you want to track.

You will find different product tracking methods depending on your selected channel from the drop-down menu.

Channel: Amazon

Select the marketplace from the drop-down menu and choose among available product tracking methods.

  • Option 1: By ASIN
    You can enter one or several ASINs to track the corresponding products, separated by commas or one per line.

  • Option 2: By URL
    You can enter one or several URLs to track the corresponding products, separated by commas or by pasting one per line.

  • Option 3: By Search Result [Coming Soon]
    Soon, you will be able to enter a search term, and the top results from the corresponding marketplaces will be tracked automatically.

Channel: Walmart

Select the marketplace from the drop-down menu and choose among available product tracking methods.

  • Option 1: By Product ID
    You can enter one or several product IDs to track the corresponding products, separated by commas or one per line.

  • Option 2: By URL
    You can enter one or several URLs to track the corresponding products, separated by commas or by pasting one per line.

  • Option 3: By Search Result [Coming Soon]
    Soon, you will be able to enter a search term, and the top results from the corresponding marketplaces will be tracked automatically.

Select the project within which you would like to add the products. This enables you to organize better how you run your Product Research, Tracking, and Market Analysis within DataHawk, should you choose to do so. It is worth noting that projects are mapped to a single marketplace.

Additionally, you can click on the toggle on the right to automatically add the ASIN/Walmart ID variations of the products and assign preset tags or create custom ones. By assigning tags, you can effortlessly search using DataHawk’s Advanced Filters to sort items based on the tags you select.

On clicking “Add Source,” you will be redirected to your tracked products list. The analytics for your tracked products will be processed and made available in a few minutes.
